Compatible with select Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles, this XM Direct kit includes everything you need to play XM over your compatible factory stereo--specifically, an XM universal tuner box, a roof-mount antenna, a smart digital adapter, and all the requisite cables. The components integrate directly with your XM satellite-ready car stereo, letting you control the XM features through your stereo's existing buttons and knobs.
The XM Direct is also notably compact, installing discreetly behind the dashboard to maintain an uncluttered appearance. Perhaps just as convenient are the plug-and-play connections, which make installation a breeze. The only slightly tricky item is the micro antenna, but even that is straightforward, with a magnetic mount that attaches securely to the outside of your vehicle. The adapter cable even includes a pass-through for keeping an extra component, such as a CD changer, connected to the system.
